New stadium for 'Golden Generation'

The Organising Committees of the Memorial Van Damme and of the Royal Belgian Football Federation have joined forces to find a solution for the King Baudouinstadium. They both agreed on the intention to provide to the actual generation of high performance sportsmen and their exceptional fans what they deserve: a modern temple of sports.

Diamond League Finals to be staged in Brussels in 2019

The AG Memorial Van Damme will again stage the Final of the IAAF Diamond League in 2019. The Finals in the different events have been allocated to either Zürich or Brussels. 16 Finals will be held in Zürich on August, 30th, The 16 remaining Finals will be staged in Brussels on September, 6th.

Four new names in Hall of Fame

The AG Memorial Van Damme has a rich history, dating back to 1977. To honour the athletes who contributed to its history and stature with their performances, the organisers decided to introduce a Hall of Fame last year. This year four new names join the fold.
