Two more exciting Urbans
The AG Memorial Van Damme organized the AG Urban Memorial Van Damme Series to bring athletics to the heart of the cities. On Aug. 26th and 31st the “Urbans” are in the heart of Brussels at Square St Catharine and at the Square de la Monnaie.

148 athletes qualified for Diamond League Final in Brussels
87 athletes had already secured their ticket for the DL-Final in Brussels. 61 more still had to qualify in the last DL-meeting in Birmingham.

The Diamond League Final in Brussels promises to become a thrilling event. In Birmingham the battle for qualifying places for the DL-Final was fierce.

Farah wins farewell race for British fans, Bouchikhi sets personal best
Mo Farah won his last track race on British soil. He dominated a 3000m race in 7’38”64. Soufiane Bouchikhi set a personal best of 7’55”55 in that race. Kévin Borlée and Isaac Kimeli were less convincing. Mutaz Essa Barshim in the High Jump and Sifan Hassan in the 3000m posted World Leading performances.

'High level' Triple Jumping in the snow
In the ski resort Tignes in France a very unusual athletics event was held. Christian Taylor and Will Claye triple jumped up high in the Alpine mountains. The World Championships gold and silver medal winners will also be present at the AG Memorial Van Damme.

Women flying high
The top 3 finishers of the World Championships in the Women’s High Jump qualified for the Diamond League Final. Excitement guaranteed on the infield of this spectacular event!

The powerhouses of the throwing circle
Fans of powerhouses can be happy to assist at the Memorial Van Damme. We already presented the Shot Putters but the Discus Throwers will also be worth watching. Belgian fans will give their support to local hero Philip Milanov.
