King Baudouin Stadium gets brand new athletics track
Great news! In 2023 the King Baudouin Stadium will receive a brand-new athletics track. Ahead of this year's Allianz Memorial Van Damme, the track's weakest spots will also be renovated.
New Meeting Director at Allianz Memorial Van Damme
Kim Gevaert joins Golazo, starting at January, 10th and becomes the new Meeting Director of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme. The Belgian national record holder in the 60m indoor, the 100m and the 200m and the Olympic 4x100m gold medal winner is taking over the baton from Cédric Van Branteghem, who becomes CEO at the Belgian Olympic Committee.

The program of the 46th edition of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme on Friday Sep., 2nd in 2022 is gradually taking shape. The Wanda Diamond League has announced which Diamond League events will take place in all its different meetings.

The Wanda Diamond League 2022 calendar has been announced. As previously announced, the Allianz Memorial Van Damme in Brussels will take place on Friday 2 September.
Duplantis, Hassan and Cherry star at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme
The 2021 Allianz Memorial Van Damme saw a second consecutive meet record from pole vault sensation Mondo Duplantis, jumping over 6.05m. Michael Cherry established a new meet record on the 400m, while Sifan Hassan starred on the mile in the penultimate Diamond League meet.
Brussels crowd propels Thiam to 1.92m, Broeders fourth in pole vault
On the Belgian front Nafi Thiam took a season's best at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme with the support of the crowd. Ben Broeders was fourth in the pole vault, while Camille Laus excelled in the 400 metres.

Mondo Duplantis has been voted as the Allianz Legend of the Night by the many fans in the King Baudouin Stadium and at home. Camille Laus was awarded the Neuhaus Best of Belgium trophy.
Belgian Olympians honoured, minute of silence for Rogge
During the Allianz Memorial Van Damme in Brussels' King Baudouin Stadium, the athletes representing Belgium during the past Tokyo Olympic Games were honoured by the home crowd. A solemn minute of silence was held in memory of former IOC president Jacques Rogge.
Duplantis, Hassan, Mboma look back on a special night in Brussels
Mondo Duplantis revealed he "never had more fun in a competition" than at the 45th Allianz Memorial Van Damme, while Sifan Hassan and 18-year-old Christine Mboma also revelled in their starring roles on the track.
