The Kenyan athlete will attempt to break the 14 year old stadium record of Wilson Kipketer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For more than two years now the 22 year old <strong>Rudisha<\/strong> dominates the 800 meters event. His breakthrough happened in the summer of 2009, when he won several races, including the one in <strong>Brussels<\/strong>. In 2010 Rudisha improved the then 13 year old world record of <strong>Wilson Kipketer<\/strong> by 0.02s. In <strong>Rieti<\/strong> a week later he improved his time with another few hundredths of a second. 1:41.01 is the new top time now.<\/p>\n<p>This year as well Rudisha performs at a high level. On Tuesday in <strong>Deagu<\/strong> the Kenyan took his first world title in the 800 metres. And now Rudisha wants to bow out of his season in style with a stadium record at the <strong>Belgacom Memorial Van Damme<\/strong>.
