Kevin had a difficult season and to be eliminated in the semifinals of the 400m at the European Championships in Z\u00fcrich was a massive disappointment for the 2010 European champion. \u201cI definitely needed more competitions to find the right rhythm and the right feeling to run the distance.\u201d Last Sunday in Berlin finally Kevin could be satisfied about his race and about the result. The 26 year old Belgian is back in business.<br \/><br \/><br \/>He really is looking forward to next Friday. The support of his home crowd and the fast track offers Kevin a perspective to end his season with a sub 45 seconds race.<\/p>\n
Olivia faces a totally different competition. \u201cMy favourite distances are the 100m and the 200m but I didn\u2019t qualify individually for the EC in Z\u00fcrich. After coming back from injury I had a marvellous opportunity to compete in the 4 x 400m team for Belgium. \u201cI thank meeting organizer Wilfried Meert to ofer me the occasion to participate in the individual 400m in the Diamond League Final.\u201d Incidentally Olivia ran the fastest leg of the Belgian 4 x 400m team in Z\u00fcrich, unofficially timed at 51\u201d5 seconds.<\/p>\n
In the past Olivia Borl\u00e9e already competed at the Memorial Van Damme but that dates back from 2009 in the sprint events (100m and 200m). \u201cIt is rewarding to come back at this level after having suffered so many years from injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
