A 10,000 meters for men has been added to the program of the 47th Allianz Memorial Van Damme.

Due to changes in the Chinese Diamond League-meetings, the program of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme 2023 has been slightly modified.

Pole Vault, High Jump and sprint events highlight 47th Allianz Memorial Van Damme
The Wanda Diamond League released the Diamond disciplines for each of its meetings. The Allianz Memorial Van Damme stages 15 Diamond events in its 47th edition in 2023. Highlights will be the Men’s 100m and Pole Vault and the Women’s High Jump.

Wanda Diamond League 2023 comprises 15 meetings
The Wanda Diamond League that groups the best athletics meetings in the world comprises 15 meetings in 2023. That is one additional meeting compared to 2022. The Allianz Memorial Van Damme will take place on Sep., 8th.

The very best sporting Memorial ever
The 46th Allianz Memorial Van Damme on Friday evening was the greatest edition ever. That is clear from the statistics. With 87339 points the Memorial 2022 achieved its highest ever meeting score, 535 points more than its previous best (from 2018).

Three world leading performances, three meet records and a pole vault shock in Brussels
Yaroslava Mahuchikh in the high jump, Kara Winger in the javelin and Jacob Krop (5000m) have set world leading performances at Friday night's 46th edition of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn broke the 36 year old meet record on the 100 metre hurdles, while Mondo Duplantis was stunned by Ernest-John Obiena in the pole vault competition.

Watrin ands Bolingo beat Belgian records, Crestan impresses
The Belgian home crowd at the King Baudouin Stadium had a lot to cheer for at the 46th Allianz Memorial Van Damme. Julien Watrin and Cynthia Bolingo raised the roof with new Belgian records, while Eliott Crestan also had a starring role. Nafi Thiam, Noor Vidts and the Belgian Tornados and Cheetahs also received plenty of support.

World hour race delivers two world records
The 46th edition of the Allianz Memorial Van Damme started with a bang. On the one hour run Kenyan Sabastian Sawe established a new world record on the 15km and 10 miles. Bashir Abdi's world record on the 20km and Mo Farah's world hour record survived.
