49 European Medal Winners at Brussels Diamond League
The European Athletics Championships offered a lot of spectacular performances. The AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme organizing committee is very satisfied to have convinced a large number of European athletics stars to line up in Brussels. The preliminary entry list contains no less than 49 European medal winners so far.

Another global champion and international athletics star will make her first appearance in Brussels. The 29 year old Valerie Adams from New Zealand is 1.93m tall and weighs 120 kg and she dominates the Women’s Shot Put for several years now.
Barshim joins Bondarenko and Ukhov in the High Jump
The Men’s High Jump is likely to become one of the highest level competitions at the AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme on September, 5th. After World Champion Bondarenko and Olympic Champion Ukhov World Indoor Champion Mutaz Essar Barshim also joins the field.
Philip Milanov, home in Bruges but with Bulgarian roots
The new national Discus Throw record holder from Belgium Philip Milanov is home in Bruges but he has Bulgarian roots. His father and coach Emil moved from Sofia to Bruges in 1989 where son Philip was born on July, 6 in 1991. So, Philip celebrates his birthday next week.

IAAF Diamond League guaranteed until 2019
The IAAF Diamond League is ready to go for at least five more years. IAAF President Lamine Diack announced last Thursday in Doha (Qatar) that a new agreement has been signed. Today the first Diamond League meeting will be held in Doha.
