How high will Lasitskene set the bar this year ?
Mariya Lasitskene has been dominating the High Jump for quite some years, first as Mariya Kuchina and now as Mariya Lasitskene. She adopted that name after marrying Russian sports journalist Vladas Lasitskas. Since 2014 she has won the Diamond League Trophy three times. Will the Russian, who competes as an Authorized Neutral Athlete, be able to shine again this year at the IAAF Diamond League Final in Brussels ?

The outstanding Jakob
Belgium has the Borlée brothers, Norway has the brothers Ingebrigtsen. Their names are not Kevin, Jonathan and Dylan but Henrik, Filip and Jakob. After the IAAF Diamond League meeting in London last weekend and with only 2 Diamond League meetings to go, 77 athletes have already secured a spot in the Diamond League Final at the AG Memorial Van Damme. In three out of 16 events all the finalist are already known.

Dutchwoman Sifan Hassan broke the World Record on the Mile at the Diamond League in Monaco this Friday.

Lyles rushes to 19.50 at 200 meters, Lisek vaults 6m01
American Noah Lyles was the most outstanding athlete at the Diamond League athletics meeting in Lausanne. The still only 21-year-old sprinter raced to a World Leading performance of 19.50 and is now the all time fourth fastest on the distance. Polish pole vaulter Piotr Lisek jumped over 6m01.
