Collaboration with Rabat continues

This is part of a collaboration program that exists between the regions of Rabat and Brussels. This program has been conducted by Minister Guy Vanhengel and it includes a collaboration program in sports. “I had the pleasure a few times to assist at the “Mohammed VI” Athletics meeting in the Moroccon capital”, said Minister Vanhengel. “The team of the Brussels Memorial has done a great job over there. They have contributed to the fact that the Rabat Meeting is now a candidate to be included in the IAAF Diamond League.” In actual fact, the Rabat Meeting is now one of the strongest contenders to be included in the IAAF Diamond League. Two Belgian athletes will participate on Sunday, June 14th : Axelle Dauwens in the 400m Hurdles and Pieter-Jan Hannes in the 1500m. The TV-production team is headed by another Belgian and director Jan Weynants, who will also be directing the Diamond League opening meeting in Doha (Qatar).
