Already 12 Belgian athletes confirmed for Memorial

Already twelve Belgian athletes have confirmed their participation in the Memorial on 7 September.

Even though the Memorial is the final leg of the Samsung Diamond League, the organizers can only award one or two "wild cards" for each event. Unless they’re injured at the time of the event, the following Belgians will take part:

-400m: Kevin and Jonathan Borlée
-110m hurdles: Adrien Deghelt
-200m women: Olivia Borlée (and / or Hanne Claes)
-5000m women: Almenesh Belete and Barbara Maveau
-400m hurdles: Elodie Ouedraogo (reserve: Axelle Dauwens)
-High jump: Tia Hellebaut
-Pole vault: Fanny Smets and Chloe Henry
-Triple jump: Svetlana Bolshakova
-Javelin: Melissa Dupré (tbc)
