Kevin Borlée: “I couldn’t train all week”

Kevin Borlée is a happy man after his second place in the 400m. "I couldn't train all week. Under the circumstances I'm satisfied with 45"44 and second."

Despite an injury, Kevin Borlée pleased the home crowd with a solid 400m. "I’m happy with the time, "Borlée says. "I hardly managed to train all week due to a tendon issue. "All things considering 45.44s and second place is more than okay.

The AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme marks the end of a troubled summer for Borlée. "It’s been a season to forget, due to injuries and other factors. I’d rather not talk about it too much any more. We have to sit down and work things out. Next year we all have to reach a higher level and go faster.
