More national and international stars announced for Brussels DL

Lots of medallists from he World and European Championships have confirmed their appearance at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme on Friday Sep., 2nd. The Women’s 100m Hurdles and the Men’s 400m Hurdles are taking further shape. In the Women’s Javelin Throw all three Oregon medallists will be on the infield.

Kendra Harrison had already confirmed her presence in Brussels and she will be challenged strongly. Olympic Champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn (bronze at the Oregon WC) and Jamaican Brittany Anderson (WC Silver) will make it a tough battle. Devynne Charlton, another WC finalist is also on the startlist. Dutchwoman Nadine Visser and local Anne Zagre get the opportunity to show themselves in this high level field.

Belgian Julien Watrin will also be priviliged to compete at the highest level in the 400m Hurdles. Watrin is in excellent shape, he set a National Record on the distance at the European Championships in Munich. Wilfried Happio from France will be one of the main contenders, as well as Khalifa Rosser from the USA and Jamaican Jaheel Hyde, thus lining up the 4th, 5th and 6th placers at the World Championships. Topping the Start List will be World Champion himself Alison dos Santos from Brazil.

The Women’s Javelin Throw gathers the top three of the World Championships : World Champion Kelsey-Lee Barber, Silver medalist Kara Winger and Bronze medalist Haruki Kitaguchi are heading the field there.

200m: Erriyon Knighton
400m Hurdles: Alison dos Santos
5000m: Stanley Waithaka Mburu and Oscar Chelimo
One Hour: Kibiwott Kandie and Sabastian Sawe
Pole Vault: Mondo Duplantis, Chris Nilsen, Renaud Lavillenie and Ben Broeders
Shot Put: Joe Kovacs
