Duplantis voted Allianz Legend of the Night, Laus is the Neuhaus Best of Belgium

Mondo Duplantis has been voted as the Allianz Legend of the Night by the many fans in the King Baudouin Stadium and at home. Camille Laus was awarded the Neuhaus Best of Belgium trophy.

Duplantis, Sifan Hassan, Michael Cherry and Yaroslava Mahuchikh were the nominees for athletics fans to choose from after their headline performances at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme. A large majority chose the 21-year-old Swedish pole vault phenom, who improved the meet record in Brussels for a second consecutive year. Duplantis’ successful 6.05m jump earned him the title of Allianz Legend of the Night.

Camille Laus was chosen as the best Belgian athlete of the night by a specialised jury. In the 400 metres the Belgian Cheetah put down her season best time of 52.34, winning a so-called Battle of the Lowlands after a run between athletes from Belgium and the Netherlands. For her performance Laus was awarded the Neuhaus Best of Belgium trophy.
