Thiam wins Götzis Heptathlon

For the second time in a row Nafi Thiam won the highly rated Heptathlon at the Hypo-meeting in Götzis (AUT). In the High Jump she set a Combined Events World Record with 2,01m. In that event Nafi Thiam will be competing at the AG Memorial Van Damme.

Thiam added a total of 6.806 points. In the final 800m she finished in 2,18,62. This is Thiam’s third best Heptathlon ever. Only last year in Götzis and at the Rio Olympics she reached a higher total.
Thiam jumped only 1 cm short of the Belgian national Long Jump Record. Her personal best now stands at 6,62m.
In the first day of the event Thiam managed to clear 2,01m in the High Jump. She added no less than 3 cm to her own Combined Events World Record. Do you want to watch Nafi Thiam in action ? Be sure then to get your tickets for the AG Memorial Van Damme on August, 31st 2018.
