Olympic Shot Put medalists compete at Brussels Grand Place

For the first time in the 40 year history of the Brussels meeting one of the field events will be held outside the King Baudouin Stadium.

One day ahead of the AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme of Sep. 9th the Diamond Race Final of the Women’s Shot Put will be held at the historical Grand Place (Central Market Square) in Brussels, right in front of the famous City Hall.
The competition will start at 5 p.m. and all three Olympic medalists will be present, headed by newly crowned Olympic champion Michelle Carter from the USA as well as silver medalist Valerie Adams from New Zealand and bronze medalist Anita Marton from Hungary.
