AG Insurance Urban Memorial presents High Jump Event in Namur with Nafissatou Thiam

With the Urban Memorial Van Damme Series the AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme is operating throughout the country for the first time in its history. The AG Insurance Urban Memorial pays visit to some of the largest Belgian cities with high performance athletics and with introductory programs for youth and for children.

City squares in five Belgian cities will be turned into an athletics competition area. International athletics stars and Belgian national stars and talents will be competing in the heart of the city in a regular athletics competition. In the preprogram of that event youth and children will have the opportunity to participate in introductory sessions, led by experienced coaches and athletes.
On Sunday, May 22nd the first AG Insurance Urban Memorial will take place in Namur. At Place St Aubain everybody is invited to come and watch national heptathlete Nafissatou Thiam compete in a High Jump event. Italian Alessia Trost will also be present as well as many other international high jumpers. The introductory program will be led by former Olympic Champion Tia Hellebaut.
The AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme in Namur will be held in collaboration with the Race for the Cure, a fund raising running event in favour of Think Pink which is also one of the projects that AG Insurance is raising money for.
