At the World Championships the three brothers are in the Belgian team for the 4 x 400m. At the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme they will all three participate in the individual event. That is a unique fact in Athletics history : never before three brothers competed in the same event at a Grand Prix-, Golden League- or Diamond League meeting.
Kévin and Jonathan are gearing up to reach their best shape, going in to the World Championships. At the London DL-meeting Jonathan finished 3rd in a seasonal best of 45.14, while Kévin won the national championships the week before in 44.73 to become the best European performer of 2013. In that race the 21 year old Dylan Borlée set a personal best of 45.80. So the 400m Men is likely to become one of the most spectacular events at the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme.
