Today Oscar Pistorius, the blade runner, came to talk to the press and is looking forward to his first race in Belgium. After his good competition at the World Championships in South Korea he still feels good. Especially running against the Borlée brothers in their homeland gives him great motivation to run a fast race on Friday.
Through the years he competed several times against Kevin and Jonathan on the circuit and also in South-Africa. This year it was really important for him to gain the experience to compete in a championship and to run several races in just a few days. His preparation for the Olympic year will be focused to build good basics but also to progress in speed by running in the beginning of next year several races in 200m.
The South African team on the 4x400m won in Daegu the silver medal and he received the day after the ceremony a medal from his team members. Oscar Pistorius was very pleased with this nice gesture and is very proud to be part of the 4x400m team.
